- vegetables – asparagus, carrots, beetroots, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, brussel sprouts, cabbage, radishes, rhubarb and
- vegetables that are really fruits - cucumber, tomatoes, capsicum, squash and zucchini, and more!
How to use: wet the bag, put your produce in it & then into the refrigerator. When you have eaten it all, wash the bag and repeat! Be proud of yourself for choosing a made-to-last, re-usable, sustainable product and take notice of how your leafy greens and vegetables stay healthy, flavoursome and aromatic in a Greenleaf Bag - naturally.
Which veggies go together in the bag? We mix and match produce in the bag according to weight. That is, we don’t put our baby spinach leaves with carrots! We put hard things together, like carrots and beetroots, and similar things together like cauliflower and broccoli, tall things together, like celery and kale and we keep our salad leaves together in a bag all on their own. We send you an email after purchase with more of our tips and tricks for getting the most out of your Greenleaf Bags including how to use it dry and how to use it for cut fruit and even how to use it out of the fridge.
Size: The Greenleaf bag is approximately 40 cm wide and 50 cm high - easily accomodating large bunches of greens. For smaller bunches of greens, such as herbs, simply place the herbs in the bottom of the bag & loosely roll it up; this gives a great result.
How to re-use: Machine wash in cold water, do not bleach, line dry. The Greenleaf Bag is made from 100% pure, natural Hemp, a very durable fibre, and to prevent fraying it has double stitched side seams. In short Greenleaf Bag is made-to-last, unusual today, we know!
Why it works: The uniquely woven 100% Hemp fabric maximises airflow for the produce while making sure there is adequate moisture available to buffer the dehydrating conditions of the refrigerator. It is easy to have airflow without moisture, think of a netting bag, and easy to have moisture without airflow, think of a synthetic bag, but a little trickier to have the balance just right.
